Neat Ripple

Hi everyone,
How you all doing? My week was great,Little miss is active now, she started to move around, stands with support and speaks in her own language like 'Gleba'(F.R.I.E.N.D.S) LOL.I found time n mind to clean up my crafty space and its neat n tidy now n' I feel good about myself.   Do you remember me saying about the Neat Ripple Blanket for a friend's baby? no..yes..no?? forget it..well, if you follow my facebook page then this picture would be familiar to you. I post more pictures there these days.
This Ripple baby blanket was made for my friend's baby months ago. this was one of the first projects after coming to Bangalore. I wanted to give a handmade for the baby and I had a good collection of babysoft yarn. So a crochet blanket was the right option that time.I wanted to try this pattern, n' chose neutral colours. The pattern is easy to follow n remember. I crocheted whenever I got time, this project was kept easily accessible.I gave a single crochet edging,I dint want to do lavish edging n' by that  time I got a feeling tht baby waiting for this to get completed for her arrival, funny right?? more funnier thing is  I got the message on the her arrival that evening after I wrapped up this project. yeah, strange but true.
Me being lazy, forgot to take the pic of this blanket opened, so I asked the new Mamma to take whenever she could. She sent me the pictures last week. She loved this blanket and I am happy and content myself.

Project Details:
Pattern: Neat Ripple Pattern
Yarn: Vardhman Babysoft
Hook: 4mm
Before leaving let me show you the beautiful thing I am working on right now.
I loved making these pretty things and more about that in the next post.
Take care

Pretty and Motifated

Happy Monday everyone! I am feeling so refreshed and new today after some long fever-ish days.Yes, the whole family had their turns fighting with the virus and baby n myself had two rounds. Last two weeks were really horrible. Feel good today, moreover seeing the baby moving around normally like before makes me happy.
And there is a beautiful finish to show you all. The motifs I showed you last time turned into a cushion cover, a pretty one.I omitted the squares with yellow and  the colours I find very soothing. Like I said before I have no clue what was my intention, it was there in my WIP box..Have to thank Swapna for the CAL on motifs-Motifated, so that I remembered of these.

I joined the squares and attached to a plain cushion cover. Finally my sewing machine also on use now.  I haven't figured out the pattern yet, if someone knows it please let me know.
Thats all for the day, hope to come back with more beautiful things later, there are some waiting for the final touch.
Take care

Pink shoes

Hello lovely ladies,
How are you all doing today? I am loving the weather now, slightly chilled and sometime raining. For me June is associated with heavy rains(monsoon in Kerala) and I love watching it. There is always an other side right?, we both(Mom n kid) were down with cold n' fever and are slowly recovering. So this is a quick post to show off pink shoes I made for my dear dearest.
I am always inspired by the beautiful work on other blogs and Pinterest is the place I bookmark all those beautiful things.I saw this  shoes there and re pinned, but I couldnt find the pattern there. So I modified the best ever booties pattern and made a shoes for her. But her happy tiny feet were a too tiny for the shoes, so I added extra straps to it.
It looked incomplete, so I made flowers and stitched onto it.(I dint have pink/white felt). Now it fits her nicely. I promise you all a modelled picture later, we are staying indoors from last week, the weather outside is not so favourable for her now. She thinks I am going to take her out if I put these on , I dont want to disappoint her. I tried clicking pic when she was sleeping, but that did not turn good.
And I am blocking squares from my WIP box, there are a lot. I arranged everything colour wise n patter wise, cos I  have NO clue abt the projects those intended to be. This is the second set, havent decided what to make with these. I feel funny!
Hope you all liked the tiny shoes above.
Until next time
